This is just an update on an idea with my event poster. I just wanted to add some nice color and for now went with a blue and pink color scheme. This is still not the final stage but wanted to show an updated "color" version.
I did some more work on the month layout portion of my type calendar. I changed the color scheme on the March to different shades of green, yellow, and brown. I felt these colors suited the piece has a whole, although this may not be my set color scheme. On the April layout I changed some colors a bit and added lines where people will be able to write notes.
This is the mood board I created for Criminal Records. I wanted it to be simple with the 5 buzzwords being the focused so when looking back at it during the semester I would not have trouble finding them throughout the board and so I get an instant reminder. I made my focus around the 5 buzzwords which I found images to describe each one and then used pictures that I think describe the mood of the actually company which I would like to keep. The pictures are ones I took myself of the store.
I decided to re-brand Criminal Records in Little 5 points. These are just a few pictures of the inside of their building. They are known mainly for their vinyls, cd showcase, and free shows within their store promoting different smaller artist.
This is one color scheme I am thinking about for my April calendar spread. I tried to go with pastel colors that would remind someone of Easter or of dying Easter eggs since Easter is in the month of April. I am not sure if this will stay so feedback on the design as well as colors would be helpful.
this is my new concept on my calendar design. the theme is based on a maze that i drew in illustrator. its not completely finished, i hoping to be done real soon with all three spreads.
These are just two 8x8 pieces to describe who I am. The top is a type approach to show my love for typography along with my interest in layout. The bottom is a little more detailed and it just states how music influences style.
This is just the beginning stages for my poster on the play Mary Poppins. I was not happy with my previous ones so I decided to take a whole new typographical approach. This is still in the early stages of production but with the looks and some verbal feedback already I think it will become a strong piece. I will update a little later on when I add more of the details.
I used the tagline Travel Green for my add slogan. I thought it was a perfect slogan for how I am trying to sell the new more green package. I believe all three of these still need some work and I am still making improvements to better these ads.
This is just a picture showing what the outside of the box looks like after assembling the package. The bottom image shows the box when closed as the middle image shows the box open with the product inside. To make this product more ecofriendly I eliminated the plastic individual kleenex packs and hand sewed refillable packs. I have three variations to show that you will be able to buy whatever color or style fits you and your personality.
This is my personalized logo I created for myself. I think the overall look is clean and fresh with the use of a orange color and also having the J and T intersect with the negative space turned at an angle.
I did the book The Great Gatsby for my book cover design. I went with a simple, basic approach with an underlying theme of lavish parties and death. I believe I achieved what I wanted but I am still continuing to push this one a little farther.
